An interdisciplinary cultural event, presented to mark the 110th anniversary of Yannis Ritsos’ birth, brought together theatre, poetry, and critical discourse around one of the major voices of modern Greek literature. At its centre, Beneath the Shadow of the Mountain—from Ritsos’ monumental Fourth Dimension—was accompanied by lectures and discussions by leading Greek poets from different generations, creating a space where artistic practice and literary thought entered into dialogue with the audience. Through the combination of performance, scholarship, and public engagement, the event reflects Maldoror’s commitment to cultural memory, the promotion of Greek writing, and the development of interdisciplinary platforms that connect artistic practice with critical reflection.
